During the 2008 Convention, the membership approved changes to NAIA Bylaws Article V, Section C, Item 13 to permit an incoming student who is enrolled in enough hours to identify during an upcoming term to participate during the period between terms. This change to the legislation mirrors NAIA regulations which permit an ineligible student who identified at the institution during the fall term to compete between terms once the term has officially ended and the student meets all NAIA eligibility requirements.
The National Eligibility Committee confirmed that this bylaw change supersedes the requirements in NAIA Bylaws Article V, Section C, Item 3, which requires that a student have identified during the immediately preceding term at the certifying institution in order to compete between terms. Therefore, if either an incoming freshman or incoming transfer student is enrolled for the next term, the student is permitted to compete on the date following the end of the current term, provided the student is enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours for the next term and meets all eligibility requirements for the upcoming term.
Example
A transfer student is scheduled to arrive at your institution during the spring term. The student did not attend any institution during the fall semester. The student has enrolled in 12 hours during the spring semester and meets all NAIA eligibility requirements.
December 16 – Official Final Day of Fall Semester at the institution
December 17 – Student may compete representing the NAIA institution.

what is the rule: when do you have to renew your eligibility for spring if you are a basketball team. I think you have 21 days once schools is over. Is that the last day of classes or the last day of exams or the day grades are due at your school.
Any information would be great
