On behalf of the NAIA Legislative Services Department, let me welcome you to the first of many posts regarding NAIA eligibility.
While a good portion of the content on the blog will be driven by the National Office and our national committees, the blog will be successful only if all of you participate. There will be many features we trust you will find useful, including Official Interpretations from the NEC, educational tools and points of emphasis. I encourage all of you to use this blog in the manner that will be most useful to you.
The one thing I ask is NO INTERPRETATIONS. While I am sure most of the interps posted on this site would be accurate, it is important that interpretations come through the proper channels. For this reason, postings will not be published until reviewed by the staff. We have no intention of stifling debate, but we must be certain that "unofficial" rules interpretations do not make their way onto this site. We will review postings on an ongoing basis, but there may be some delay in your post going live.
As we build this blog, do not be surprised if I ask you to post your own article on a particular subject. I also encourage you to contact me if you have something you would like to contribute.
Information about this blog was sent to all AD's, FAR's and Commissioners. If you know of anyone else on your campus who can benefit from this blog, please pass along the information.
I trust you will find the information on this site useful. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Israel Negron, Director of Legislative Services
